It was my sweet husbands birthday on the 17th. December babies I think in a way feel like they are shafted because Christmas is in the same month. With that being said I wanted to do something really special for Blake. One week before his birthday I sent an invite to all of his friends and family on facebook to a surprise birthday lunch. Blake and I have a really hard time keeping secrets from one another so I was nervous the whole time. I tried to be super careful about what I would say. When it came time for the surprise I blind folded Blake and took him to his favorite sushi restaurant Sakura. There were more people there than I expected. We had a great turn out and I think my sneakiness paid off. Blake was surprised. I didn't get any pictures unfortunately. I tried.. I brought my camera, but forgot my memory card. Oh well.
The 18th was my family Christmas party with my Chappell side. It was so good to see my cousins that I haven't seen in a long time. The day was full of good food, games and a lot of laughter. I love Christmas, but lets get real.. who doesn't? The smell, the lights, and family altogether again.. yup it's my favorite holiday.
The next day the 19th we headed down to Arizona for Christmas. Blake and I listened to a Christmas book called The Gift by Richard Paul Evans. It was simply perfect to listen to before Christmas.
Whenever we come to Arizona we always know it is going to be a good time. We don't get to see Blake's family much so when we do see them we play as much as we possibly can.
My sweet mother-in-law bought all the girls tickets to go see the Nutcracker. I have never seen the nutcracker before so I was super excited. I love watching ballerinas.
If only I could be one haha
My nieces are the cutest. I love being an aunt. It was a lot of fun to watch these two open presents and believe so much in Santa. They are adorable.
We went to see the Arizona temple lights. It was BEAUTIFUL!
My handsome husband
Christmas Afternoon.
I surprised Blake with the DAT Destroyer books that he needed. He was shocked as you can tell.
Blake Spoiled me this year with a Kitchen Aid. I am excited to make some bread for us. :)
We had a great Christmas.
